I am a Senior Tax Manager and part of the RHB Business Advisory Team.

My primary role is to provide effective and efficient tax solutions to clients with reference to their individual circumstances. I started my career in tax with Inland Revenue where I spent 10 years as an investigator, and team leader, in the Hamilton and Tauranga Investigation Units. I then moved to become a tax specialist in a local mid tier accounting firm before being enticed by the innovative and practical approach of RHB.

Although I specialize in tax my role also involves restructuring, business turnaround assignments, and managing difficult Inland Revenue investigations. To extend my practical understanding of business I have also been involved in managing the trading operations of companies in receivership and liquidation. This experience has provided me with the ability to develop tax solutions which are consistent with competing commercial factors.

I have recently completed my final professional exams to gain full membership of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

I was born and bred in Tauranga. I attended Tauranga Boys College before moving to the Waikato for a brief period to gain my Bachelor in Business. I returned to Tauranga to enjoy the awesome lifestyle that the city offers. With my partner Fiona, and three kids Blair, Tyla and Jordyn we enjoy the vast range of water sports on offer in the Bay. I am also a keen player in RHB’s social volleyball team.
