RHB Directors Tom Rodewald (CA) tomr@rhb.co.nz (Managing Director, Insolvency, Business Advisory Services, Consulting) Tom is a Chartered Accountant and prior to starting the RHB practice in 1995, Tom was a Senior Manager with one of the big four accountancy firms. Tom is a specialist investigating/insolvency accountant and provides expert assistance to a number of legal and accounting firms. Tom also worked for a large New Zealand bank as well as an international oil company. Tom is very involved with the horse and dog racing industries as an owner and on a consultancy basis.
Kenneth Brown (CA,BCom) kennethb@rhb.co.nz (Director, Insolvency, Consulting, Business Advisory Services, Audit) Kenneth is a Chartered Accountant with many years experience working for big four accountancy firms in Auckland, Melbourne and Tauranga. He is a specialist in the Insolvency area. He has past involvement with the New Zealand Army as a Territorial Officer, a former appointment being Commanding Officer of the local 6th Hauraki Battalion from 1999 to 2002. He still takes a keen interest in the NZ Army and is a regular visitor to the base. Kenneth is married to Kathryn and has two children.
Janine Hellyer (CA,BMS(Hons)) janineh@rhb.co.nz (Director, Taxation, Business Advisory Services) Janine has a BMS (Hons), and is a Chartered Accountant. She specialises in taxation and has particular expertise in the property and structuring areas, but her extensive experience both in accounting and taxation means she is able to offer a full range of services to a vast array of businesses. Janine is married to Mark and has 2 boys.
Robbie Neilson (CA,BBus) robbien@rhb.co.nz (Director, Taxation, Business Advisory Services, Consultancy, Insolvency) Robbie is a Chartered Accountant who has previously worked as a senior manager for two of the big four accounting firms. Over the last nine years Robbie has specialised as an income tax and GST advisor. Robbie particularly enjoys working with family and emerging businesses. Robbie is a keen golfer and is always looking for an excuse to play.
Jenny Lee (CA,BBus,BA) jennyl@rhb.co.nz (Director, Business Advisory Services) Jenny is a member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants and has previously worked as a commercial accountant for a NZX listed company in post harvest operations. Jenny has extensive experience in public accounting, providing a wide range of business services to many different businesses with specific expertise in orcharding. She also has hands-on experience on the family's kiwifruit block so understands the industry from a grower's point of view. Jenny's leisure time revolves around family, gardening and walking.
RHB Associate Paul Manning (CA,BCom) paulm@rhb.co.nz (Associate, Business Advisory Services, Audit) Paul is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in New Zealand and Ireland. Paul specialises as a business advisor for self-employed professionals, assisting clients with accounting, tax compliance, tax planning and structuring issues. He has previously worked for one of the big four accounting firms in Ireland and Australia for seven years, working predominantly with small and medium size entities but also in financial services for a number of years.
